Hardwood floors and a special lighted ceiling reminiscent of an evening under the stars, the original school gymnasium makes for a fun gathering venue. It's full time job is to house our indoor pickleball courts but it can be transformed as an event venue. We anticipate this space to someday also house a pool and hot tub. :) For now, play pickleball or book an event in the gym and revel in all the history of this community gathering space.

Forget the prom…you can be “Queen or King” of your wedding or annual meeting in our historic theater. With 35-foot clerestory ceilings, stunning architecture, our grand ballroom is truly one of the most beautiful ballrooms in Iowa. The 1921 school theater is steeped in history, a celebration venue worthy of your special event. No chaperones needed. This space recently had it's floor lifted, transformed into an epic ballroom with flat floor, now a multipurpose venue for events and weddings rather than its former self as a theater with sloped seating. Central Park across the street from Hotel Grinnell is home to several gathering spaces and venues including this stunning amphitheater. It provides a spectacular outdoor wedding ceremony backdrop. Sound and power capacity is excellent for even the most complex events. Most fair-weather weddings begin the day in the flex space getting ready, do the ceremony in the park, social hour on the Periodic Table Patio followed by the reception in the historic theater.
This flexible space can be used for a variety of events. Host a small cocktail hour in this flex space located near the Penthouse. It also makes for a perfect bridal party get ready room with lots of mirrors and makeup/salon stations.

The bar and lounge is a warm and welcome setting. It makes the perfect location for a casual corporate luncheon or a networking event.
