Great place to stay on college visit Took my child to visit the college and stayed at Hotel Grinnell. It set the perfect vibe for the trip--playful and smart. I enjoyed the nods to the building being a school. The room was a good size with fun art. Plus, we were able to walk to admissions easily.
Make the detour off of I-80. Super amazing boutique hotel! Lucky enough to stay here. This is an old middle school. The rooms are old classrooms. They have bikes you can use to ride around the cute downtown. They turned the gym into a ballroom. The restaurant is called Periodic table. This is where they have a complimentary breakfast. They have a giant scrabble board, skee ball. The rooms were adorable and comfortable. The showers had a great rainfall shower head. The staff was amazing!!! I would go out of my way to stay here when heading down I-80.
Great Place to Stay in Grinnell. Lovely hotel with great staff, nice bar and restaurant and super rooms with lots of character and thought-out design. Without a doubt the nicest place in Grinnell to stay and made the visit there a pleasure.
